I worked in a jewelry business with my mother for several years growing up. My love of sparkling things continued into adulthood. As an adult my husband and I have operated a very successful special occasion jewelry business catering to major pageants and celebrities alike.
My love of true sparkle grew and we started Jewelry Xoxo because I wanted to offer an affordable alternative to the expense of diamonds to my clientele'. A diamond itself doesn't represent true love, it's the heartfelt emotion that transcends time and distance. Many jewelry companies like to persuade customers to buy a big diamond they cannot afford and apply for their credit card. They wind up paying high interest and making payments to it for many years.
Diamonds are not that expensive to obtain and most of the money spent by the customer goes into the pockets of the big diamond industry, the store, and sales representatives. Marriage is to bring two people in love together. With the money saved on not purchasing a real diamond they could get a better car, a nicer home, or enjoy traveling. The idea of a real diamond standing for eternal love is nonsense. Many people end up changing their stone or design down the line for a new ring style.
